Howick Historical Village is a living history museum with over 30 buildings on 7 acres of grounds and heritage gardens. The museum depicts a settlement in the period from 1840 to 1880 and offers visitors an immersive historical experience.
Every Second Sunday of the month is a Live Day with costumed staff and volunteers, and a range of activities and entertainment for visitors to enjoy.
The recently refurbished gift shop at Howick Historical Village is a source of beautiful New Zealand-made products. It features gifts & cards, homewares, jewelry, books, toys & games, and old-fashioned sweets as well.
A wide range of programmes, tours, and workshops are on offer for groups and schools. Visit our website for upcoming events!
